I love kids. Their smiles make me smile. Their tears make me tear. Their giggles make me giggle. They inspire me.
Last week I had the honour to visit Ooch Downtown to take part in their March Break camp. If you are not yet familiar, Camp Oochigeas provides magical experiences to kids who have or are affected by cancer. These magical experiences include an overnight camp in Muskoka, at Sick Kids Hospital and at their Downtown location.
I had the privilege of coming in with the tools of my trade: creativity, paper, pencils and markers... so that we could design the poster for their drama production that they would perform for their parents. Their creativity was unreal and beyond cute.
After they created their characters, we made buttons. Lots of buttons.
I had such a great time with the kids and being in a place that is full of love and friendship. In this world of hate and violence, it is truly special to be in a surrounding that focuses on a magical experience.
