For those of you that know me, you know that I love paper. I love letters. I love mail. One of the happiest days in the past couple of years was to discover The Letter Writers Alliance.
Kathy Zodrozny and Donovan Beeson started the Letter Writers Alliance in 2007 with the dedication of keeping the art of letter writing alive. With over 7,000 members I think it is safe to say that there are still a lot of us out there that still love to send and receive letters.
I love the LWA mission: In this era of instantaneous communication, a handwritten letter is a rare and wondrous item. The Letter Writers Alliance is dedicated to preserving this art form; neither long lines, nor late deliveries, nor increasing postal rates will keep us from our mission.
Membership is easy, inexpensive and so completely awesome. A lifetime membership is just $5.00 and with that you receive a membership card, adorable badge, downloads and option of a pen pal swap. In their shop, you can find amazing stamps, pencils and if you are in the US you can buy a pigeon that you can actually send.
You should see how all this arrives in your mailbox too. It will make you smile.
